Before garage-sale day

Have a garage sale? Put it online first.

Give your neighbors a look before you put the tables out. Photograph the baby clothes, toys, bicycles, outgrown sporting equipment and camping gear you plan to sell, then share your website link in advance.

Post your garage-sale address, date and hours on the site so people know where to go and when the sale starts. They can see what is coming and plan their visit before sale day.

Use the catalog to preview your garage sale, or ask Annie’s about running it as an online auction with a pickup day.

How one month runs

Every month is one auction with one closing day. That gives you something to build toward on social media all month long.

  1. List your lots

Photos and a description from your phone. Start each item at what it can actually sell for.

  2. Bidding runs all month

Bidders sign up and get a notice when they're outbid. No bids on something? Lower the price any time.

  3. Everything closes

All lots close at the same time, with a countdown on every page.

  4. Winners pay in 24 hours

A timer next to each winner's name shows the time left. If it runs out, offer the lot to the next bidder or keep working with the winner.

  5. Pickup day

Winners collect at your spot. Items you mark "Ships" get arranged with the winner.
