Code of Ethics

The Debbie Helps Florida Code of Ethics

Every business listed in the directory signs this before it is published.

  1. Quote it before you touch it. Give the customer a clear price or a written estimate before work starts, and say what is and is not included.
  2. Charge what you quoted. No surprise add-ons. If the job changes, ask first and get the customer's okay before the price does.
  3. Treat the vehicle like it's yours. Note existing damage at drop-off, protect interiors and finishes, and return the vehicle the way you'd want yours back.
  4. Say what a product really does. Be straight about how long a coating, film or treatment lasts and what upkeep it needs. Put any warranty in writing.
  5. Hold the licenses and insurance your work requires. Carry every license, registration and insurance policy Florida and your local government require for what you do.
  6. Respect the customer's time and property. Show up when you said, keep the customer informed, and leave their driveway, garage or slip clean.
  7. Handle complaints honestly. Listen, make it right where you were wrong, and never pressure, threaten or retaliate over a review.
  8. Compete fairly. No fake reviews, no bait-and-switch pricing, no running down a competitor with claims you can't back up.

A business that breaks the Code can be removed from the directory. If a listed business didn't live up to it, tell us.
