The company, the family it sits in, and the three things we never say.
When you finish this lesson you can
Describe what Annie's Action AI does in two sentences, without using the word AI as a magic word.
Name the other companies in the family and explain the relationship honestly if a customer asks.
State the three things we never say to a customer.
Say it plainly
Annie's Action AI Agency Corporation is a marketing agency for small businesses. We build websites, we write and post social media, we run advertising, and we set up automation that answers the phone and follows up when the owner cannot.
The part that makes us different is that we build all of it so that both search engines and AI assistants can read it correctly. That is the whole idea. Everything else is how we deliver it.
If you cannot say that without notes, go back and read it again. The first thing a prospect decides about you is whether you understand your own company.
The tagline is the job
Turning AI into Action. It is on the footer of every page we build. It means we are not here to talk about the technology, we are here to make it do something for a business that has four employees and no marketing department.
The family, and why we say so
Mark Hope runs several companies and they are related. That is not a secret and we do not handle it like one. The standing posture is full disclosure: we are not hiding anything from anybody, we are all in the same business.
If a customer asks whether the charity and the agency are connected, the answer is yes, and you say so cleanly. What never happens is the two mixing in the other direction - the charity's people are not a sales list, and the charity's pages do not sell our services. If you are ever unsure which side of that line you are standing on, ask before you send the email.
Annie's Action AI Agency Corporation - the for-profit agency. This is who you represent.
AI Annie - the name on the product line, such as the AI Annie Search and Answer Visibility Audit.
We Help People Everywhere - a separate charity. Not yours to sell for, not yours to sell to.
The three things we never say
These are not suggestions and they are not about tone. They are the difference between a business that lasts and one that gets a letter from a regulator.
We never promise a ranking, a placement, a number of leads, or an amount of revenue. Not a hint of one. The careers page says it straight: we do not promise rankings, placements or leads, and neither can you.
We never quote anyone an income - not a customer, and not a person asking about this job. We do not know what they will sell.
We never say a customer will appear in an AI answer. We can build their information so it is accurate, complete and readable. What any assistant does with it on a given day is not ours to promise.
What you can say instead
Sell the work. The work is real and it is easy to describe. You are going to build them a page that loads fast and says who they are, where they are, what they do and how to reach them, in a form a machine can read without guessing. You are going to keep it current. That is a true sentence and it sells fine.

Nothing is recorded and nothing is scored. This is for you.
A prospect asks, so will this get me to the top of Google?
Why: We do not promise rankings, placements or leads. You can describe the work honestly without a promise attached to it.
Someone considering the sales role asks what they will earn.
Why: We will not quote you an income. We do not know what you will sell, and anyone who puts a number in front of you before they have met you is guessing.
A customer asks whether Annie's is connected to the charity.
Why: Full disclosure is the standing posture - we are not hiding anything from anybody.
Which of these is a sentence you may say to a customer?
Why: Sell the work, never the result. The middle sentence is entirely true and entirely safe.
Work to do away from the screen
Write out, in your own words and without looking, what Annie's Action AI does. Two sentences.
Write the three things we never say. Then write, next to each, the true sentence you would say instead.
Say your two sentences out loud to somebody who does not work in marketing. Note where they stopped you.
