Who this is for

Experience that did not stop being worth something.

A lot of good salespeople were let go a long way short of where they expected their careers to end. The company moved on. The skill did not go anywhere - knowing how to sit across from someone, ask the right questions, hear what they actually need, and earn the order. That is the hardest part of this job, and it is the part we cannot teach. If you already have it, everything else here is learnable.

You already know how to sell

Years of meetings, objections and closes. Here you point that at local owners who make their own decisions - no procurement, no committee, no six-month cycle. You talk to the person whose name is on the door.

Willing to learn what you sell

You do not need to be technical. You do need to understand this well enough to explain it in your own words. We will teach you properly, because you cannot sell what you cannot describe.

Straight with people

We do not promise rankings, placements or leads, and neither can you. If you would rather sell something honestly than oversell it, you will fit here.

Why now

Search is not the only front door anymore.

For years, marketing a local business meant one thing: rank on Google. Search optimization was our bread and butter for a long time and it still does real work. But it is no longer the whole picture, and the shift is moving faster than anything we saw in twenty years of search.

People ask now, they do not search

More customers open a chat box instead of a search bar. They ask in plain language, get an answer with a business or two named in it, and act on it - often without seeing a page of results at all.

That is a different problem

Turning up inside an answer is not the same job as ranking a page. It depends on whether a business's information is accurate, structured and complete enough for those systems to use. It is called answer engine optimization, and we have built the agency around it.

Almost nobody is selling it

Most agencies calling on local businesses are still pitching the website-and-SEO package they were pitching five years ago. You would walk in with something the last three people through that door did not have.

Why it sells

Most owners have never had this explained to them.

Local businesses have been buying technical advertising for years from people who would not explain it. Another five hundred dollars, a few more ads, a report nobody reads. The owner never finds out what was actually done, or why.

You are the one who explains it

Plain pricing published on the site, and work you can describe in a sentence. For a lot of owners, a straight answer about what they are paying for is the thing that closes the sale.

A conversation moves. An ad does not.

Someone asks an assistant about chaise lounges and halfway through decides they actually want patio furniture - and the assistant follows them. A fixed ad cannot. What decides whether a business turns up in a moving conversation is whether its information is accurate and structured enough to be used. Nobody controls what an assistant says; what you can control is whether it has the right facts to work from. That is the work.

It starts small and grows

Most clients begin with something simple - a website, a cleaned-up listing. Once it is working and they trust you, social, advertising and automation follow. You are not closing everything on day one.

The whole picture, not one channel

Words, images, video and the structured data underneath all of it, kept consistent so a business reads like itself everywhere a customer might meet it.

The role

What you would actually be doing.

Talking to local business owners - contractors, real estate agents, restaurants, insurance and mortgage people - about being found in both places: local search and AI answers. You sell it. We build it.

Find the businesses

Local owners whose customers are already asking assistants for a recommendation, whether or not the owner has thought about it yet.

Show them the work

Every service has its own page with the price on it. Nothing hidden, so you are never guessing at a number in front of a customer.

Hand it off

Once they sign, we do the building, hosting and ongoing work. You stay on the relationship instead of becoming the production department.

What you can sell

A full shelf, not a single product.

Local SEO and answer engine optimization are the way in. Once you are through the door, there is a great deal more a business needs - and all of it counts toward your commission.

Websites

Built for local search and structured so assistants can read them correctly.

Local SEO & AEO

Ongoing optimization for search engines and answer engines, in the ZIP codes they actually serve.

Social media management

Content produced and posted on a schedule, with human review before anything goes out.

Advertising management

Managed campaigns. The client keeps their own ad account and pays the platform directly.

AI automation

Answering, following up, scheduling - the repetitive work that costs owners their evenings.

Smart Serving

Hosting and online presence as a managed service, from a free directory listing to a fully managed site.

The market

Every small business is a customer.

This is not a narrow product sold to a handful of companies. Nearly every local business has the same problem, and most do not yet know the way customers find them has changed.

One sale teaches the next

Sell one landscaper and there are a hundred more in your city. Once you know how a trade talks, what it worries about and what it pays for, the twentieth conversation is far easier than the first.

Depth in every account

A client who starts with a website often needs social, advertising and automation later. Growing an account is a shorter road than finding a new one, and both count.

Room to build

Nobody is dividing a fixed territory with you or capping what you take on. Your market is as large as you are willing to work.

The arrangement

How you get paid.

Commission is set individually, and it moves as you do.

Built around you

What you earn on a sale depends on your experience and how much of it you carry. Someone running the whole conversation end to end is on different terms than someone bringing us an introduction while we do the selling. We work it out with you directly and put it in writing before you start.

Starting out

If you are new to this, we will usually begin with a finder arrangement - you bring us the business, we handle the pitch and the close, and you are paid for the introduction. As you take on more of the sale, your terms move with you.

It repeats

You are paid again every time a client of yours takes on another service, and again when they re-sign. Accounts you bring in keep counting for as long as they stay.

Independent contractor

A 1099 independent contractor position, not employment. Commission only - no base salary and no draw. You set your own hours and work your own market.

We will not quote you an income. We do not know what you will sell, and anyone who puts a number in front of you before they have met you is guessing. Ask us anything about the terms and we will answer straight.

Where the openings are

Most of the map is open.

Oklahoma, Colorado and New Jersey have people and client work behind them. Nearly every other state has no local representation at all. Our service areas page shows exactly where we stand, state by state - including everywhere we have not reached yet.

Interested?

Two ways to start. Both take a minute.

There is no application to fill out and no resume to send. Tell us how to reach you, or put a time on the calendar and we will talk.

Book a call

Pick a time that works and we will talk it through - what the work is, what the terms would look like for you, and whether it is a fit. Nothing to prepare.

Or just leave your details

Four boxes. We will call you.

We will only use this to contact you about the sales role.
